Screenplay Editing...
Every writer has the same moment after they’ve finished their script: Is what I wrote good? Does it work? I always remember this one thing:
Luke Skywalker was supposed to have a robot head.
Whenever I think about that, I cry a little. It’s hard to know when you’re so close to the material, whether you’ve written a master piece, or still need to sand off the sharp edges. Having another editor look over your creation can be valuable. Screenwriting is an ongoing process of evolution and development, and can take years to shape an idea into a working script.
We want to help you.
Axe and I can offer a unique perspective into your script, from the point of view of a writer, and a director. We will read through your script, learning about your characters, your story, your vision, and then offer a critical, helpful insight into its strengths and weaknesses.
We aren’t going to try and rewrite your story, or take it away from the values you’ve created; our goal is to assist a writer in closing the gaps in the narrative, tighten the structure, and improve all the other aspects of their script. Have a look at our FAQ for more information on the scope of our work.
This is not a vague catch-all assessment of your script, but an in-depth analysis of the entire work, with specific notation that addresses every scene. We are writers and creators, and our aim is to support the community of Creativity, and provide a guiding hand towards clarity and professionalism.
Give us a call, maybe we can help.
